The Orillia Winter Carnival took place Feb 11, 2017 in downtown Orillia. With a section of the downtown core closed the the Orillia Parks & Rec team worked diligently to create a winter wonderland. Downtown Orillia’s Annual Car Show
What an exciting day in Orillia at the 2011 downtown car show. Yes, I was there today despite the threat of rain. There was no disappointment either. As I sit here writing this I am located at 82 Colborne Street and can here the massive collection of horsepower beginning to leave. Here are some of the cars you’ll see in the Orillia car pictures below. Only one of them is not a car but it suited the occasion very well. I will let you guess which one it is.

It’s fun seeing what you can discover about a city that is new to you. After enjoying frequent visits to Orillia for decades it was time to move here and enjoy a more relaxed style of living. Once settled in a small township slightly north of Orillia on the shoreline of Lake Couchiching, a deeper exploration of the area was in order. You may have been to this lovely little city before but there’s more to the picture the meets the eye once you really take a look around. To summarize the experience so far Orillia is a special city with quaint shops in the downtown area that create a mystical feeling of when the west was young.
